The Community Garden Project is part of the Well-Being Matters Project at NEWCIS funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.

The aim of the group is to get carers and those they care for involved in nature as a way of promoting mental, physical and emotional well-being.

It started with just a few carers sharing ideas and now we have links with over 8 local community projects helping to connect people! .

We’re a small but perfectly formed group of volunteer enthusiasts (carers and ex carers) that come together monthly to help steer and plan activities, share ideas and generally motivate others to get outdoors and involved in local garden projects.
