Pickering Road Community Orchard

Phone: Not available at present
Address: Cranberry Way
Off Pickering Road
HU4 7AQ

We have a well established community orchard with 350 trees, 22 varieties of apple including heritage varieties.
We also have honey bee hives, a wildlife garden and a woodland walk on site.
At present we offer pick your own days throughout harvest season, we Wassail every January, usually have a may day event and also mark things like the solstices with community events
We are currently looking to develop the bee hives to become a teaching project for the community to come and learn about bees and how to keep them.
We are looking to make a forest school area in our woodland walk and to bring in a paid manager role so we can run more sessions for the community.
We have our own bottled apple juice brand and honey as well as selling fresh apples so can generate our own income which we are looking to develop more in the future
