Pitch 2 Progress CIC is transforming an underused, neglected outdoor space in Bordesley Green, Birmingham into a vibrant, inclusive community garden – a green space for residents of all ages to come together, grow fresh produce, and connect with nature and each other.
The space, currently filled with debris and overgrown vegetation, will be cleared and redesigned with raised planting beds, accessible pathways, and shared garden tools. This garden will be a free, welcoming space for the community to grow fruit, vegetables, herbs, and flowers – promoting healthy eating, sustainability, and social connection.
The project is about more than just gardening – it’s about creating a shared space that encourages intergenerational relationships, volunteering, and community ownership. We’re inviting local residents to help shape the space through consultation events, volunteer opportunities, and hands-on involvement from the very beginning.
This garden will provide a peaceful, productive retreat for everyone – whether you're a keen gardener or just want to enjoy the outdoors and be part of something positive happening locally.
