Positive and constructive conversations with councils, communities and colleagues

This exciting training will be lead by Andrea Perry from Addiscombe Railway Park and Dartnell Park.

Working in open green spaces we know that community growers interact with a huge range of people and can often experience communication issues and conflicts of interest.

The focus of this workshop is to build the skills and capacity to have positive constructive conversations with a wide variety of stakeholders, including when those conversations may be challenging.

Where: Vauxhall City Farm 165 Tyers Street London SE11 5HS

When: Friday 28 February 2025 9.30am - 4.30pm

Cost: The event is £20. We don't exclude on the basis of cost. Please contact Amber [email protected] if needed.

By the end of this training you will be able to:

  • Explain the core principles of constructive conversations to a friend.

  • Identify three triggers that may cause stress and identify at least three ways to manage these and destress within the context of a city farm or community garden.

  • Translate the main benefits of a neuroscience understanding of conflict into day to day language.

  • Identify at least one situation that you will feel more able to address.

  • Create summary of the principles you’ve learned that you can take to your team and explain with confidence.

If you have any questions please contact Amber on 0776 1920 776 or [email protected].
