Emotional Resilience on the Ground. Boundaries not Burnout in city farms and community gardens
Are you creating safe spaces for staff and volunteers? Do you feel stressed or overburdened by the need to look after the emotional needs of others? Do you want to avoid burnout for you and your staff?
Community gardens and city farms are important in maintaining personal wellbeing for many people. However, we also understand that this work is emotionally taxing. This workshop will look at policies and procedures to create appropriate boundaries that protect staff and provide clarity and security for volunteers.
You will
- Gain clarity about your role within your community garden
- Develop techniques and protocols to mitigate and manage challenging situations
- Understand and mitigate stress to prevent burnout
- Increase awareness of personal and professional boundaries
- Clarify your actions moving forward to promote your wellbeing at work
