Learn Apple Preserving Processes

Fancy a fun and useful day of learning new ways to use your apples beyond juicing?

If you want to improve your preserving skills or just try something new, this event is just what you need.  We'll delve into dehydrating, making vinegar, syrups, pickles, chutney and - of course - juice, all led by our friends at Cultivate.

First, we'll get to know each other's preserving skills.  Then, we'll look at different samples and the equipment used to create them.  We'll talk about keeping things clean and following any rules.  During the day, we'll chat about your community orchard group and how you help your local area.  We'll provide drinks and healthy snacks, but please bring your own lunch.  Come prepared to get stuck in, and with plenty of questions!  Bring a jar or two to take home your chutney or pickle. By the end of the day, you'll have improved preserving skills, have new ideas to try and new friends to share with.  Come and join us for a friendly day that will leave you feeling inspired!

There are only a few places available for this event, so please book early to save your spot.  If find you can't make it, please let us know as soon as you can - we're operating a waiting list and someone will be able to take your place.
