What should be included in the programme for our 2027 Spring Conference?
Social Farms & Gardens International Spring Conference 14th – 16th April 2027.
Nature for Wellbeing: Advancing practice in community gardening, city and social farming
Delivered in partnership with GreenME, APRIN and will also encompass the European Federation of City Farms AGM.
Our Spring Conference is being held at Salford University. There are going to be two days of speakers, panel discussions and interactive sessions, but we do not want to finalise anything until we hear from our members. There will also be optional site tours to book onto on Friday 16th (booking essential - there will be an extra cost to cover transport and refreshments).
Would you like to run a session or speak at our Spring Conference?
What topics do you really want to be included? Topics already mentioned for inclusion –
- Funding and raising your own funds
- Dissemination from our GreenME project
- Gardens for all and something more specific on gardens for dementia and to improve mental health and wellbeing
- Climate resilience/ justice
- Case studies and storytelling
- An open surgery for land access and planning issues
- Making money from social prescribing
- Member priorities
- Networking/ social time/ site visits and tour of the Thrive Health & Wellbeing Hub at the university
How do we bring forward the community voice? We want to hear from people running projects on the ground. What impacts are you delivering? What are your barriers to success? How could we support you more going forward?
We have also reserved workshop slots for member priorities and once we know what YOU want to talk about, we will add these topics to our final agenda.
Come along at 4pm on 26th November to get your voice heard!
