Join other London community gardeners and farmers to discover how Sufra NW London are developing their community garden alongside the food bank. Hear from those involved in this unique project.

When: Tuesday 15th January 2019 (rescheduled from 19th October) 

Where: Sufra NW London, 160 Pitfield Way, Stonebridge, London, NW10 0PW

Led by: Jim Sheeran, St Raphael Community Garden, and Amber Alferoff , Social Farms & Gardens. 

We will:

  • Explore the way the foodbank offer a friendly healthy experience with the support of the garden
  • Show how Sufra manage volunteers. How they bring 'in kind' benefits to the community garden and discuss how they show the proof of impact to the local community
  • Describe the process of developing this project from scratch
  • Explore the gardens, pond, the tipi, and meet Sami’s Chickens!
  • Provide you with freshly cooked social enterprise lunch

Fees: The event fee is £20 per organisation and includes lunch. We recommend that two people from your organisation take part to help embed the learning. We would never exclude people on the basis on income, so please let us know if you cannot pay the fees.
