About the Trainers
Global Generation have been embedding community in the heart of new green spaces since 2009, working in their flagship gardens in Kings Cross, and more latterly at the Paper Garden in Canada Water. Alongside this, they support over 40 gardens in schools, estates and in the public realm.
Alice is an architect, community build manager and lecturer at the University College London. Throughout her career to date she has worked collaboratively with communities to design and create spaces within the city. At Global Generation, as community build manager, her role is to manage and oversee the construction process of the gardens and to establish participatory methods of construction, providing opportunities for connection and education along the way.
Jack is a facilitator, educator and community gardener. In Working closely with grass-roots initiatives, he identified that a common issue is a lack of direction and making decisions reactively, rather than proactively. Combining knowledge in social permaculture and group facilitation methods, he works with community projects to establish a collective vision that can be used to aid decision-making and plan for the future.
