This event is for anyone with an interest in informing and developing their local food growing strategy. All community growers and other parties are welcome to attend.
Where: Lesser Hall, Albert Halls, Stirling
When: Monday 30th October, 2.30-4.30pm
The Food Growing Strategy (FGS) is a new duty for local authorities under Community Empowerment Act, and will include information on how local authorities will support community food growing in their area. The Scottish Government are currently consulting on what should be included in the FGS (consultation deadline 17th Nov). FCFCG believes that the Scottish Government could strengthen Food Growing Strategies to give more support to community growing initiatives, and that these strategies should support a wide range of community food growing initiatives and be responsive to local needs.
Come along to this free event to find out more about the consultation, how you can shape it, and how you might be able to get involved with your local authority Food Growing Strategy.
Refreshments available.
