Spirit and Soul Equine Assisted Activity Centre uses horses to enrich, explore and embrace lives. Our programmes provide a platform for self-exploration, personal growth and for people to embrace change with confidence. Our services are currently predominantly programme based and sometimes a commitment of 6 or 10 weeks is not suitable. We therefore want to work towards more of a care farming, day service support options for clients service users. All our services are ground based, we are not a horse riding centre we are a wellbeing centre which uses horses as our method of delivery and intervention. Horses have an acute awareness of our emotional regulation, heart beat and can pick up a lot about us given they are prey animals. We use this to help people understand themselves better, learn how to regulate their emotions and learn new skills. We hope to teach people life skills, through working and looking after our horses.
