Umberslade Nurseries is a Social Enterprise run by Queen Alexandra College (QAC), a national specialist college and charity for people with disabilities. Umberslade is a two acre site, home to a series of polytunnels, meadow and field areas, vegetable beds and sensory garden. It also boasts a tea room and traditional yurt.
QAC students visit Umberslade and play a vital role in maintaining, planting and harvesting our produce, whilst also learning about horticulture, experiencing the outdoor natural environment and having fun. We also run a series of workshops for members of the local community, including dementia support groups and forest school sessions.
