In November 2019 one of our pupils, Ethan Hargreaves, sadly died suddenly, leaving the whole school in shocked and saddened. Ethan was a delightful boy who (despite having SEN) was always filled with kindness. He will always be remembered for his huge smile and happy nature. He is talked about in school often and his (Ex) classmates enjoy retelling stories of their adventures together. Ethan leaves behind 2 siblings in school. In Ethan's memory we plan to create 2 special areas in school - a play area on the KS1 playground and a "Memorial Garden" on the KS2 playground. The total cost of the project is £25,000 and we have raised £5,700 so far. The Mackie Hill PTA is a registered charity. Registered charity number: 1192551.
