The Community Land Advisory Service

Do you need help getting permissions to use land for your nature based or green space project?

Are you a community group looking for land to start a community growing project, or a wildlife project?

Would you like to transfer a green space from a public body or local authority to your community?

Managed by Social Farms & Gardens, the Community Land Advisory Service (CLAS) exists to help community green space projects with all their land and planning queries.

The CLAS Service was originally funded in England, Scotland and Wales. Funding now continues in Wales thanks to ongoing support from Welsh Government. The CLAS Cymru team provide specialist support and advice to hundreds of community led green space projects across Wales and now also funds two part time development workers (one based in north Wales and one based in south Wales) who help groups with start up and progression of their community green space projects.

Social Farms and Gardens is looking to fund CLAS services across the UK.

Our advice and support is supplemented by a crop of advice and guidance documents which can be accessed here. You can access these here.
