Growers and nature-based practitioners came together from across London for a gorgeous day at Core Landscapes last Monday for our Cultivating Creativity: Inclusive art-based workshops inspired by community gardens training!
The sun was shining and the creativity was flowing, drawing on the beautiful garden for inspiration.
Community Gardener Ali talked us through developing accessible and inclusive workshops in the morning, with lots of vibrant conversations and fun interactions.
Then we shared a delicious lunch, chatting while we took in the bright red geums, and swathes of pollinator filled alkanet and sweet rocket.
In the afternoon the group was guided through a session full of practical art techniques by Core Arts Artist Helen. We used pen and brushes to ink our creations, starting with a variety of continuous line drawings and ending with a longer activity using collage and stylised watercolour.
Everyone left buzzing with ideas for creative and inclusive workshops to take back and share with their communities.
Thanks to Ali, Helen and Nemone from Core for a fantastic training session, and thanks to everyone who came along and contributed to a really special day.
If you missed out this time keep an eye on our events page for future training events and networking tours.
