Social Farms & Gardens is excited to formally launch the application process for "Small Capital Grants for Local Food Projects – Enabling Inclusive Access to Healthy, Local and Sustainable Food".
This funding has been made available by Welsh Government via Carmarthenshire County Council and is intended to support projects that improve access to healthy, local, and sustainable food for individuals and communities, and particularly those members of the community who are:
- experiencing food poverty, and/or
- individuals with characteristics protected by the Equality Act 2010.
We are seeking innovative, community-driven ideas that will:
- work collaboratively across the community, involving multiple partners and stakeholders
- co-create solutions with the people who will benefit, ensuring the project reflects real needs and aspirations
- deliver capital improvements (such as equipment, infrastructure, or facilities) that have a lasting impact on food access
- create opportunities for sustainable change and reducing barriers to healthy eating.
