Resilience Plans and Pledge Posters
We encourage community managed green space projects that we support (especially CLAS Cymru Awardees) to complete a site RESILIENCE PLAN. This is to help shine a light on (often hidden) actions that are taking place on a project site, which contribute to the goals of the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act (Wales) 2015.
Once a resilience plan is completed (with the help of staff from the SF&G team) projects then sign up to, and are presented with, a PLEDGE POSTER for their green space site. This provides a one page illustrated poster that they can present to public bodies and potential funders. It demonstrates the wellbeing credentials and the climate resilience of the project/green space. We hope it will help the group to gain more traction and trust with decision makers.

Public bodies are trying to improve the resilience of people and nature to reduce climate impacts. It is important public bodies know about the benefits of the community activities happening in their areas as, it is often these community green spaces that are helping them meet their goals and commitments.
Social Farms & Gardens is working to help completed Resilience Plans and Pledge Posters, have more of an impact with public bodies. If you have any contributions or suggestions for how this can be achieved please get in touch [email protected]
Please also get in touch if you would like to take part in completing a resilience plan and receiving a Pledge Poster for your community managed green space project.
