Huge congratulations to Sarah Urwin, who has been awarded an honorary degree by Hartpury College in Gloucestershire this month.

The degree was awarded for her outstanding contribution to care farming and animal assisted therapy.

Sarah Urwin Therapy Services is a member of Social Farms & Gardens based in Devon, and it is great to see her recognised in this way after 20 years of amazing work.

After retraining from a career in dairy agriculture, Sarah built a unique care farm model delivering therapeutic programmes with a wide range of animals.

Sarah went on to influence national standards, mentor professionals, and support the evolution of Hartpury College's academic programmes including the MSc in Animal Assisted Counselling and Psychotherapy.
