Prism City Farm Project is primarily an alternative education project catering for disaffected young people aged 12-21. The project works closely with schools in Bradford who refer students when mainstream education is not working well for them. The young people get the opportunity to manage the day-to-day running and development of an inner city farm and work towards OCR and NVQ qualifications in Animal Care and Horticulture but also cover key and life skills programmes.

Opening hours:

Open 3pm to 4pm weekdays, closed weekends. Visitors welcome during school holidays, but please call first. Free to general public. All groups must pre-book.Charge of £1 per head for parties.

Directions:

By car: leave the City Centre by B6145 until you come to traffic lights at the junction of B6145 and A6177. Turn right into Whetley Lane and then right again into Walker Drive. The Farm is at the top of Walker Drive on the right. By bus from Bradford Interchange: Buses 605, 606, 616 all stop within easy reach of the Farm. Ask the driver for the bus stop on Thornton Road at the junction with Whetley Lane. Walk up Whetley Lane and turn right into Walker Drive - the Farm is at the top.
