Working farm and animal centre in 640 acre public park that has a splendid collection of livestock and knowledgeable staff who care for them. Highland cattle, rare breed sheep and horses graze in large open spaces. The centre offers an educational programme most suitable for Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 & 2 children. The wardens and livestock team introduce the animals and talk about their life-cycles, care and seasonal husbandry and visitors get an opportunity to get a close up, behind-the-scenes look at farm and pet animals.

Opening hours: The Farm Centre/Stables Courtyard opens daily from 9am: Closing at 6pm in the summer, and 3.30pm in the winter.
