Woodgate Valley Urban Farm
A six acre voluntarily run community farm on the edge of a country park. The project comprises of livestock, gardens, an orchard and wildlife areas. The farm serves as an educational resource and a general visitor attraction, as well as providing work experience placements, training, and skills and confidence building in a supportive environment.
Daily 10.30 - 16.00 Oct - June, (last entry 1515 hrs)
Daily 10.30 - 17.30 July - Sept. (last entry 1615 hrs)
Only day formally closed : Christmas Day.
N.B We may be closed without notice because of waterlogged ground conditions, or adverse
weather, or for animal welfare reasons.
Cows (Dexters), pigs (so called 'Mini'), goats (pygmy), sheep (Black Welsh Mountain and Badger Faced, , also Manx Loughta X Badger Faced Hybrid) poultry (4 species) , rabbits,, ferrets, degus, bees
Train: to Birmingham New Street then by bus.
Bus: from City Centre No 23 from St Phillips Cathedral.
Car: from City Centre or M5 Junction 3, follow signs for Harborne, then South Woodgate.
Location:Farm is situated at the western edge of Woodgate Valley Country park at the Country Park Visitor Centre in Clapgate Lane on opposite side of road to the Business Park.
