Saffron Walden County High School Farm
Saffron Walden County High School has a small farm unit that is used for extra curricular activities (the Farm Club), the teaching of BTEC Animal Care and Horticulture for students in local schools and as a resource for other subjects, as well as by the local community. Facilities include a livestock house, workshop and cattle yard, commercial and span greenhouses. Produce includes vegetables, salad, fruit and herbs. There are also shrubs and trees.
Weekdays 8-1 and 3.20 - 4.30. Weekends 8.30 - 10.00 and 3.00 - 4.15. Visits by appointment. Regular open days.
Cows (Dexter), sheep (Ryeland), pygmy and other goats, free range poultry, guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets
From South: Audley End station, take Wenden Road into Saffron Walden. School is on Audley End Road, just beyond junction with Wenden Road. M11 Junction 9 to Bishop Stortford, then B1383 through Newport to Saffron Walden.
