The farm was established in the nineties by a group of committed locals under the guidance of Gloucester City Council. On April 1st 2011 The Friendship Café, an established registered charity, took over the management of the site to continue the great work on the farm.
Along with a fantastic group of dedicated teenage volunteers aim is to keep the farm afloat and make it even better than it has been in the past. To achieve this they rely on the dedication and experience of the farm staff and volunteers, the strong community links provided by The Friendship Cafe and GymNation, and generous donations from the public and others. Many changes have taken place including a riding school, an active growing group and a coffee shop.
In 2015 the farm received a Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.

Opening hours:
Open all year round apart from Christmas day. Monday to Sunday - 9.30am to 5 pm (4 pm in winter). If you are coming in from far, please ring in to check that we are open as occasionally we close to take the volunteers out on a trip or for other reasons.

Walking: from Barton St, turn into Clement Street (bike shop on corner) turn right into Upton St and first left into Albany St.
By Car: From Barton St, Turn onto Hopewell St, left onto Ryecroft St, right onto High St, left onto The Laurels and left onto Albany St - we are at the end of the street.
Free parking usually available behind the 'Treddy' pub in The Laurels, a hundred yards walk from the farm. You will need to approach through High St for this entrance.
