We support people with or at risk of poor emotional health to become volunteer gardeners tending this historic garden. We run Learn to Grow Courses; raise funds through plant sales and are renovating three ex-commercial glasshouses. The volunteers have won three awards for their contribution to the community.
The garden is in a public park but is locked at night/weekends. The garden is usually opne Mon-Fri in summer, Mon-Thurs in winter. We are on site Mondays and Wednesdays.
The Walled Garden at Wollescote Hall, Lye and Wollescote Park, Stourbridge DY9 7JG. Straight up Chawn Hill from Stourbridge Junction Railway station or the 142 Diamond Bus drops outside the park. The garden is through the green gate in the gap in the wall, to the left of the hall as you view it from the road. The wall is currently boarded off for safety reasons so it's a wooden wall at present!
