Meadow Well Connected is a community hub building with an IT suite and cafe plus a 5-acre garden site, which is open to all. We have almost 100 raised beds, a composting zone, 3 polytunnels, 3 glasshouses, a sensory garden, a wishing well, an insect hotel zone, orchard, beehives, "meadowell henge" and an indoor work room. We are also home to 10 chickens and 4 guinea pigs. We're working towards setting up a community garden centre on site with donations of plants and seeds and to be managed by our clients and volunteers. We offer day care to vulnerable adults and have a small group of regular volunteers from the local community. Our team of three full time staff work to ensure this valuable green space is inviting and productive and overall, a safe and pleasant space for all to enjoy as they choose. We have a number of projects to achieve this, several of which involve partnerships with other farms and gardens in our area, including the Ouseburn Farm and the Comfrey Project. Our main gardening project is called 'Seeds of Change' and focuses on helping our clients gain confidence and skills around gardening tasks.
