Drumnaph Nature Reserve
Our project is based on a community owned nature reserve covering over 200 acres of mixed habitats including meadows, river and wetlands, bog, ancient woodland and a traditional farm. There are over 7 km of walkways with interpretation and a community allotments scheme. We practice conservation grazing technique to enrich biodiversity using our own herd of rare breed Shetland cattle and Breton sheep. We also have two Irish cob horses, chickens and a pig called Pumpkin.

We are a few miles out of Maghera on the Tirkane Road. Turn right on to Halfgayne Rd and look out for the entrance to the nature reserve on the right. The allotments are at the top of the lane. Park in the car park and enjoy one of the many walks open to the public all year.
