Dig It is a weekly gardening club at Frendsbury Gardens, SE4, for adults who may be socially isolated due to unemployment, poverty, mental or physical ill-health.
At Dig It, attendees learn the basics of garden care (organically and with regard to wildlife) whilst socialising in a group. Each person gets some outdoor time and physical exercise, according to their ability. We also share healthy snacks at tea break and often provide short workshops on aspects of gardening, wildlife or healthy living. Attendees are welcome to contribute to these sessions and have lead some themselves.
