OASES, an environmental education charity, supports a range of school gardening projects in the North East, by teaching children and parents about growing vegetables. The schools are primary, secondary, special and nursery settings, and are across County Durham, from Wolsingham in Weardale to Horden on the East Coast. One project, Growing Together, is funded by Children in Need, and Growing Healthy is funded by Public Health. We also work with schools on a consultation basis, where no external funding is available. The OASES office is based in Esh Winning, a few miles from Durham, County Durham.
