Garnock Community Campus has the potential to enhance student learning outside of the classroom as much as it does inside. Garnock Garden will be located in Glengarnock and it will operate as a school and community garden. A curriculum-based school garden could serve as a living laboratory and outdoor classroom for subjects across the curriculum right in our own schoolyard. Garnock Garden will encompass everything from beds of vegetables and fruit plants to sensory gardens for touching and smelling, flower gardens to nurture pollinators, native plants to feed birds and butterflies, and rain gardens to help protect the watershed. It should include seating areas, outdoor classrooms, and areas for creative play and exploration. The School garden will be great addition to the class based activities of biological nature. Teachers, parents and local community emphasized the educational value and educational work in the garden.
