We have been working on teaching pupils about sustainable living in the countryside, working alongside Croft Connections. The pupils have been working hard to build an allotment, as well as greenhouse area and planting areas. Our P4-7 pupils runs a Community Café and have been learning about creating their own ingredients and produce. Eventually we plan to have an outside pond/wildlife area and if possible an area to house chickens. We are also looking in to creating our own Jams and Jellies, and selling these in local establishments. We have many exciting projects and opportunities happening within our Rural School and would love to connect with others to share our experiences and see what other schools are offering.
