Springhallow is a school for young people with a diagnosis of autism. Once a week secondary pupils participate in a horticulture session where they learn about the beauty and importance of plants, how to grow edibles and ornamentals and how to garden for wildlife. They also learn to cook and share what they grow and sometimes sell veg or make soup for staff as an enterprise. This year we are opening a cafe at school (for staff run by pupils) and hope to provide fruit, veg and flowers.
