We are an allotment site in the Headingley/Burley area of Leeds. We have approximately 120 members. We work closely with the local primary school to arrange visits to the site, encourage their growing by sponsoring potato growing competitions, they do the posters for our annual show. We also work with Hollybush Conservation Centre, a local TCV centre. We have a Nature Watch scheme, with bat boxes, bird feeders, and bug hotels around the site, and are encouraging people to grow wild-life friendly flowers. We have recently stopped selling peat-based compost in our shop.
