We're a community garden in the fringes of Liverpool where the city meets farmland. A committed group of volunteers grow seasonal vegetables, soft fruits and orchard fruits for the community, providing locally grown organic produce at a cut rate for local people. Moreover, the site provides a space for community groups and community events, especially in the spring and summer months. The garden itself is built on a demolished apartment block, bringing with it a quite complex set of horticultural challenges, but it's on its way to being a productive market garden and a year-round community space all rolled into one.
