Regenerus (South Sefton Development Trust) delivers community environmental activities under the umbrella of Taking Root in Bootle. We connect the network of over 50 community gardens, growing and food projects in South Sefton, to encourage the sharing of resources, ideas and expertise.
We directly support Taking Root volunteer community growers to identify and design plots, plan growing and secure resources and continue to maintain their gardens.
Employing creative approaches, we add nature spaces to our urban industrial landscape, including wildflowers meadows and street greening and share information to raise awareness of the role of increasing biodiversity in the fight against the climate emergency.
