FarmAbility is a programme of farm-based, purposeful activities for co-farmers (adults with a learning disability, many of whom also have autism). Working in small groups and supported by staff, volunteers and occupational therapy students, co-farmers build the practical and vocational skills they need to move forward in their lives, while having fun and being part of a productive community.

FarmAbility is moving its charity base (Charity No. 1153282) to the Blenheim Estate. Our co-farmers are involved on the Estate, at Park Farm and the Pleasure Gardens. At both sites, co-farmers do some allocated jobs to help out the staff there, such as working with the sheep, or in the kitchen garden. The Estate has generously allocated some space and facilities for a FarmAbility garden and for doing woodwork projects.

In addition to its programme at Blenheim, FarmAbility has partnerships with other farms in the county, including FAI Farms in Wytham; a commercial organic farm producing organic chicken’s eggs, sheep, and beef cattle, where we take co-farmers as part of our outreach programme.
