The CCG's purposes are:

a) To promote the development of the Crownpoint Community Garden at Crownpoint Road the local community and community organisations.
b) To promote the general health and wellbeing of the residents and local community through the growing and consumption of fresh fruit and vegetables.
c) To promote the voluntary participation of residents and local groups in the development, usage and maintenance of Crownpoint Community Garden.
d) To promote training and educational opportunities in the field of gardening, growing and related environmental activities.
e) To promote awareness of environmental issue among local residents of central Glasgow.
