We are a small and nurturing village school and want to maintain our position as a warm and friend hub of our village. We understand that children learn best from first hand experiences, therefore, we plan to develop our outside space and expand our outdoor learning experiences for our children. We want our children to learn about their own local environment and community and gain a deeper understanding of where food comes from and nutrition. We hope that over time we can produce enough food to prepare food with and eventually to hold our own farm market. If successful we are considering keeping a few animals for petting. We believe strongly that our children will benefit from exploring the outside environment, gaining satisfaction from helping to grow our own produce. Also, we have a wealth of knowledge to draw on from our local community. We have limited funds so we will need a creative approach to this.
