SO19 9HL The Plants for People project is a joint initiative between Mayfield Nurseries and Southampton City Council, which combines community development work with gardening to make a lasting difference to people living on social housing estates in Southampton. We manage 7 community gardens on housing estates in Southampton alongside Mayfields Nursery Horticultural Training Centre.

Our Community Garden sites are open access and are run and managed by the community. Mayfield Nurseries is a community enterprise which is open Wednesday - Sunday to the public for trading. In addition we also offer a selection of wellbeing programmes from the Nurseries which are promoted via our website.
