We are a start up group. Having surveyed the community we have a 74% support for a community orchard.
Our objectives are:
* To increase wildlife diversity
* Grow fruit and vegetables partciularly heritage apples as our site was once an orchard
* Create a space for people to come together, to address health and well being issues including working with minority and disadvantaged groups.
* Planting, tending, maintaining, teaching new skills, community events e.g. produce sales, social events linked to the maintenance of the project as well as for fund raising, access to groups outside of the community with support from specialist consultants
