Azamrah was born in 2013, with the objective to provide facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupation for children and young people who are disadvantaged either socially, emotionally or financially e.g. disabled children, children from dysfunctional homes, single parent families, low income families, children with an ill parent, learning disabled parent, mental/emotionally disabled parent or parents who need the extra support to ensure their children stay safe, healthy and happy.
We do this through the provision of holiday playschemes which take place during the summer, winter and Easter holidays. A wide range of activities are available to help meet the needs of all children and young people.
In response to Covid, we would like to further our activities and put on offer more therapeutic activities in addition to fun activities. This would include a gardening and planting project in the summer scheme where youth will be able to develop their capabilities and experiences, broadening their horizons
