We offer social and therapeutic horticulture for mental health and well being; working with individuals and groups with mental health conditions, physical or learning disabilities, sensory loss or autism and conditions such as dementia or stroke survivors.

In the safe environment of the nineteenth century garden at Gwernyfed, we provide physical and mental rehabilitation, bolster self worth and confidence, whilst offering social inclusion and a sense of well being through a variety of gardening activities.

The horticultural setting gives purpose and direction in the form of work and the discussions and activities that ensue allow people to engage in something positive and life affirming. Social Therapeutic Horticulture also brings new skills, physical benefits through exercise and can create a feeling of empowerment.
