Owenkillew Community Development Association is the charitable side of Owenkillew Development Company Ltd (who runs the community centre). Gortin Community Garden has 3 polytunnels and a number of raised beds inside and outdoors, which residents can rent for the year and grow their own produce. We also have some community beds, a no-dig area, composting facilities, fruit bushes and a tea shed. We've been running Green Gym classes through TCV and have a gardening group for older residents that meet every Monday. We are currently developing an adjoining small woodland area, to use for camping and bushcraft activities for people/children and we are hoping to run some horticultural therapy sessions with special needs clients in the future.
