The drawing shed collaborates with local residents on 2 social housing estates to lead a community garden - it’s ungated and the gardening activities are intergenerational. We’ve been doing regular ‘social repairs’ of our raised beds and we are currently building new ones for food growing with the estate based non means-tested food stall! We’ve got a lot to do but we are getting there! Children, teenagers, adults and octogenarians are all part of our garden community in the culturally diverse London Hoe St ward.
