Thornbury Community Permaculture Project is based in the grounds of a care home owned by South Gloucestershire Council and has been running for 3 years. Volunteers meet once a week to help create and maintain a garden for the residents of the care home using permaculture principles. There is a variety of perennial plants and self seeded annuals as well as fruit trees and a native hedge. We have worked closely with Avon Wildlife Trust to enable the garden to be as wildlife friendly as possible.
