I have recently started working as a Biology/ Medical needs teacher working with young people who are unable to attend mainstream education. We are extremely passionate about setting up an edible school garden in order to teach the young people about the benefits of food growing including mental and physical well-being, as well as developing social interaction and enterprise skills. The vision is to hold a summer fayre selling produce grown by the students such as jams and lavender scented pouches as well as a picnic where the students eat their home grown produce. We are keen to enlist as much local support as possible to make the project a success.
