A 4 year old CIC, originally based at a walled garden. Recently relocated to a 4 acre community field that is run by Oaks Meadow Trust who have already transformed it with extensive planting of trees, orchard, hedging and areas for relaxation and reflection as well as playground facilities for parents and children to enjoy. The synergy is in our shared purposes and methods and we support the Meadow in exchange for a rent-free plot. Our growing space is small so we have changed our business plan from plant sales to education with a mix of funded and paid for services. Our aim is to grow plants to grow people to grow plants and to be as inclusive as possible. Our relaunch has just got underway and we are building our management and volunteer bank. We have started to deliver our Let It Grow project which the third outing of social and therapeutic horticulture course for low level mental health and isolation issues. This was funded by the local authority. We have 3 directors all of whom volunteer their time and a possible 2 more who are considering joining.
