The Duncairn Centre for Arts and Culture is the first dedicated art space in North Belfast, established in 2014 by the 174Trust. Our mission is to create a shared space arts facility that contributes to North Belfast’s cultural, social, political and economic rebirth and our work over the last ten years has been a catalyst for change in the area. We aim to provide access to the arts and engage people from different backgrounds, especially those most vulnerable, and to lift them up through creativity. In 2025 The Duncairn began a new garden project that has seen native plants, wildflowers and native hedgerow being planted outside and around the centre. The garden continues to evolve and develop, with community engagement, nature and biodiversity regeneration and ecological citizenship at the core.
