In 2023 and 2024 we facilitated 10 community groups to deliver a community meal in partnership with local food justice organisations.
About the project
The aim was to provide a community event for people living in food insecurity, and to strengthen links between community gardens and food justice organisations (social supermarkets, community fridges and food banks, for example) in Northern Ireland.
Participating groups had a small budget to cater for members of their community. This work was funded through our Cost of Living Uplift from the National Lottery Community Fund who have been generous funders.
