Community Orchards in Powys

People in an orchard

Social Farms and Gardens (SF&G) provided funding and support to Community Orchards in Powys from September 2025 to March 2026, helping them become more knowledgeable, connected and resilient.

About the project

Community Orchards (Powys) supported groups in managing and developing new and existing orchards, running orchard events, and increasing community involvement. In turn, this brings associated health, wellbeing, and nature benefits, increased local knowledge, and a sense of pride in place for communities. The project offered a series of events, resource sharing, and small grants for community-led Orchards in Powys. The work was made possible with funding from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, supported by Powys County Council.
