Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) means a direct relationship between farmer and consumer.
We've delivered past projects providing mentoring, training, advice and networking for CSA projects in Wales and hosting the Welsh CSA Cluster.
Through this work, we've developed relationships with many CSA's across Wales. Our 2020/21 work with Lantra's Tyfu Cymru saw a number of training sessions and peer support meetings delivered. Much of the activity from this can be found in our CSA Google Drive (please look at the FIRST TIME HERE? document when first accessing this folder) and the Welsh CSA cluster sessions themselves on You Tube:
- Cropping tool workshop (the cropping tool is available for download on the google drive)
- Knowing your Vision, Values and Purpose
- Business Planning
- Good Governance
- Finance
- Membership
- Communicating Key Messages
You might also be interested related planning webinars, hosted on the Tyfu Cymru website and delivered in partnership with Social Farms & Gardens Community Land Advisory Service (CLAS):
- Considerations for leasing land and creating contracts
- Diversifying into horticulture: considerations for land, contracts and hiring
- Navigating the planning process
and recordings from other SF&G projects: - To market, to market (how to get your fruit produce to market)
- Social Farms & Gardens You Tube page for a range of other videos
You can also download our 2020 Welsh CSA Cluster Summary Report and see the Community Land Advisory Service pages for more information and available support.
At our partners Tyfu Cymru's Knowledge Hub you can find further webinars, toolkits, case studies and technical advice sheets on soft fruits, seeds, fruit and veg, ornamentals and soilless growing.
